Soccer Recap: Fishburne Military Comes Up Short

Fishburne Military lost against New Covenant back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Caissons came up short against the Gryphons, falling 9-1. Fishburne Military were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Femi Quartey, who's now up to 12 this season.

Fishburne Military has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for New Covenant, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-1-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fishburne Military is set to face off against their familiar foe Hargrave Military Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, New Covenant will take on rival Carlisle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
