Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They walked away with a 69-56 win over the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, West Florida Baptist Academy still got an impressive performance from Olivia Pearce, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 24 rebounds. Pearce has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last five times she's played. Bryse Burkett was another key player, going 5 of 7 on her way to 16 points.

Central has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they moved to 10-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Central Jaguars face off against the T.R. Miller Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
