Baseball Recap: East Clinton Find Success

The East Clinton Astros had just enough and edged out the Peebles Indians 5-4 on Monday.

East Clinton's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Toby Huff, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

East Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Peebles, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Clinton will welcome Felicity-Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.88 runs per game on average), something the Astros will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Peebles, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Manchester at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
