Texas is on a four-game streak of home losses, Hallsville a nine-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Texas Tigers challenge the Hallsville Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Texas is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since November 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 70-40 loss at the hands of Tyler. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Lions are ranked 54th).

Meanwhile, Hallsville took a blow against Tyler on Friday, falling 82-36.

Hallsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Texas, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
