Basketball Recap: Wilson Falls Despite Big Games from Luke Walsh and Michael Best

Wilson was the 69-68 winner over Cedar Hill when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wilson Wildcats lost to the Cedar Hill Longhorns on the road by a 71-52 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Longhorns are ranked 81st).

Michael Best and Luke Walsh certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Best posted 14 points, while Walsh earned nine points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Lwate, who put up ten points.

Wilson now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Cedar Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Wilson will square off against Spruce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cedar Hill, they will face off against Waxahachie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
