Baseball Recap: Crandon Comes Up Short

Crandon blew Wabeno/Laona out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Wabeno/Laona got their revenge. The Cardinals fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 8-6.

Crandon's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Wabeno/Laona, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Crandon will face off against rival Goodman-Pembine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wabeno/Laona is set to square off against their familiar foe Florence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
