Baseball Game Preview: Los Alamitos Griffins vs. Narbonne Gauchos

The Los Alamitos Griffins will be taking part in a tournament against the Narbonne Gauchos at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Los Alamitos is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They blew past San Clemente 13-1.

Los Alamitos got a great performance from SEAN KASSAWARA as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits.

On the hitting side, Los Alamitos let SUTTON DENINNO and CADE BARNETT loose on the outfield. DENINNO went a perfect1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI, while BARNETT scored two runs while going 2-for-3. CRUZ D'ERRICO was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Los Alamitos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Clemente only posted a batting average of .259.

Meanwhile, Narbonne had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Rowland a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday.
