The Logan Longhorns will head out on the road to face off against the Mora Rangers/Rangerettes at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Logan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 16 runs per game this season.

Logan barely beat Non Varsity Opponent the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Longhorns blew past Non Varsity Opponent 16-3 on Monday. The Longhorns have beaten Non Varsity Opponent the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Non Varsity Opponent has come to flipping the script.

Aydin Kotara made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Devin Kotara, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Wall, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Logan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Mora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to Pecos. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Mora's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Logan, their record is now 3-1.
