Recap: Crowley Eagles vs. Trinity Trojans
After a string of seven wins, The Crowley Eagles''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Trinity 77-34. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, Crowley still got an impressive performance from Caleb Williams, who threw for 478 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes. Antayvious Ellis was another key contributor, picking up 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Crowley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Trinity, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Crowley will head out on the road to face off against Boswell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Weatherford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Weatherford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Trinity is ranked 58th).
