Volleyball Recap: Ruskin Golden Eagles vs. Fort Osage Indians
Ruskin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Fort Osage Indians. The Golden Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-9, 25-7.
Danielle Williams paced Ruskin's offense, picking up three kills. Williams got some help from Jordyn Tinsley and her three assists. Breanna Noah controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Fort Osage's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryleigh Gage, who had 20 assists and nine aces. Gage has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 14 times she's played.
Ruskin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fort Osage, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Ruskin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Raytown South on the 13th.
