Football Game Preview: Deerfield Demons vs. Pardeeville Bulldogs

Deerfield is 0-4 against Pardeeville since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Demons will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Deerfield has given up an average of 40.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Deerfield is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Waterloo on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Demons were outmatched by the Pirates and fell 36-7. The Demons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Deerfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kai Haines and Zander Hart.

Meanwhile, Pardeeville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 46-40 to Markesan. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Pardeeville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Deerfield, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-7.

Deerfield was dealt a bruising 49-6 defeat at the hands of Pardeeville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Demons were down 28-6.
