After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Indian Creek, Speedway was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the University Trailblazers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sparkplugs have posted against the Trailblazers since September 21, 2016.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (103-93) Speedway actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-23, 25-16, 15-25, 16-14.

Sienna Hileman went supernova, getting 29 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.

The win snapped Speedway's losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 3-14 record. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Speedway has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Mooresville on the 25th. As for University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against International on the 27th.
