Volleyball Recap: Genoa-Kingston Takes a Loss

Genoa-Kingston lost against Hampshire back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cogs fell 2-0 to the Whip-Purs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hampshire to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kylie Lambert, who had two aces and one block. Another player making a difference was Peyton Wurtz, who had four aces and one assist.

Genoa-Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Hampshire, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Genoa-Kingston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Sycamore on the 20th. As for Hampshire, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against South Elgin on the 20th.
