Basketball Recap: Genesis Prep Academy Takes a Loss

If Genesis Prep Academy was riding high fresh off their 71-46 takedown of Upper Columbia Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars fell just short of the Wallace Miners by a score of 48-46 on Wednesday. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Miners earlier this season, when they won 53-52.

Julian Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wallace, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. Davis' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emmitt Myles, who posted six points and seven boards.

Genesis Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Wallace, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Genesis Prep Academy has already played their next contest (against Lakeside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wallace will venture away from home to take on Coeur du Christ Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
