Basketball Recap: Immaculate Comes Up Short

Immaculate lost against New Milford two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Immaculate Mustangs took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Milford Green Wave. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Immaculate saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kendra Foy posted 30 points. That was a full 66.7% of Immaculate's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Callie Miller was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Immaculate's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for New Milford, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Immaculate will be playing at home against Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Milford, they will venture away from home to take on New Fairfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
