Softball Game Preview: East Hampton Bellringers vs. Morgan Huskies

East Hampton hasn't had much luck against Morgan recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bellringers will head out to take on the Huskies at 3:45 p.m. East Hampton will be strutting in after a victory while Morgan will be coming in after a loss.

East Hampton will bounce into Friday's game after beating Cromwell, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bellringers walked away with a 6-2 win over the Panthers on Wednesday.

Allison Jacobsen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Amelia Chrin was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Jovel, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Morgan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-3 to North Branford.

The victory got East Hampton back to even at 1-1. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
