Softball Game Preview: Iroquois West Raiders vs. Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers

Iroquois West is 0-5 against Gardner-South Wilmington since May of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Raiders will take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Iroquois West came up short against LeRoy on Tuesday, falling 11-1.

Iroquois West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Bork, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Bork hit this season.

Meanwhile, Gardner-South Wilmington lost 10-1 to Seneca on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Fighting Irish: they've now lost seven in a row.

Gardner-South Wilmington's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Iroquois West, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Iroquois West couldn't quite get it done against Gardner-South Wilmington when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
