Basketball Recap: A'lanah Webb's Big Game Can't Quite Lead New Haven over Fort Wayne North Side

New Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Wayne North Side Legends. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 46-40 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

New Haven lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being A'Lanah Webb, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Monty Sk, who posted four points, to go along with six rebounds and three steals.

Aubrey Bleeke had a dynamite game for Fort Wayne North Side, putting up 18 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bleeke has scored at least a third of Fort Wayne North Side's points. Kamiah Morris was another key player, posting six points and six steals.

New Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Fort Wayne North Side, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.

New Haven didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-46 loss against Fort Wayne Wayne on the 3rd. As for Fort Wayne North Side, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-31 defeat against Fremont on the 7th.
