Softball Recap: Palm Bay Pirates vs. Cocoa Beach Minutemen
Palm Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-2 to the Cocoa Beach Minutemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minutemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 26-9 back in February.
Palm Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Crespo, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Those hits were Crespo's first of the season.
Palm Bay's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Cocoa Beach, they moved to 7-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Coincidentally, Palm Bay and Cocoa Beach will both be playing Heritage the next time they take the field. The Minutemen will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Pirates will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th.
