Baseball Recap: Timnath Comes Up Short

Timnath lost against Wellington back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Timnath fell just short of Wellington by a score of 7-6. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anthony Lombardi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-1. Dane Wyman was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Timnath now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Wellington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.

While Timnath had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
