Softball Recap: Hudsonville Snags 21st Victory in Last 22 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hudsonville had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Grand Ledge Comets as they made off with a 9-1 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by seven runs or more this season.

Hudsonville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 22 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Grand Ledge, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 30-9 record.

Looking ahead, Hudsonville will square off against Saline on Thursday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Grand Ledge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
