They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the East Palo Alto Academy Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Mountain View Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Monday.
Mountain View Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 84-36 loss at the hands of KIPP San Jose Collegiate. Mountain View Academy has struggled against KIPP San Jose Collegiate recently, as their contest on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Mountain View Academy saw an underclassman step up: Daniel Malo scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, East Palo Alto Academy came up short against DCP Alum Rock on Wednesday and fell 41-34.
Mountain View Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for East Palo Alto Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Mountain View Academy skirted past East Palo Alto Academy 53-50 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was East Palo Alto Academy's Jose Medrano Gutierrez, who scored 28 points along with eight steals.
