Basketball Recap: LeRoy-Ostrander Takes a Loss

LeRoy-Ostrander was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 66-36 loss at the hands of the Grand Meadow Superlarks. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Superlarks are ranked 86th).

When it comes to explaining why LeRoy-Ostrander lost, don't look at Benita Nolt. Despite the final result, she went 7 of 11 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds. Miranda Nagel was another key player, putting up eight points.

LeRoy-Ostrander's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Grand Meadow, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

LeRoy-Ostrander has already played their next contest (against Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Grand Meadow has already played their next matchup, a 44-37 win against Fillmore Central on the 17th.
