Baseball Recap: Chenango Valley Comes Up Short

Chenango Valley lost against Waverly on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jimmy Fitzgerald made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Trebilcock, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Chenango Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Waverly, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chenango Valley will venture away from home to square off against Owego Free Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Waverly, they will face off against Chenango Forks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
