On Thursday Bryce Coley tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The effort marked the fewest hits Coley has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with less than two walks. On the year, he has an ERA of 12.60 over 6.7 innings pitched.

Even though Coley couldn't lead Liberty County over Southeast Bulloch, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers haven't beaten the Yellow Jackets recently, having gone 0-6 since April of 2021.
