Baseball Recap: Cabrillo Comes Up Short

Cabrillo lost against Lompoc back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Conquistadores fell just short of the Braves by a score of 3-2.

Cabrillo saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Barraza, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Cabrillo has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Lompoc, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

While Cabrillo had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
