Football Recap: Tydreke Powell Jr.'s Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southeast Raleigh over Cardinal Gibbons + How To Watch

Southeast Raleigh scored first but ultimately less than Cardinal Gibbons in their matchup on Friday. They took a 30-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The Bulldogs gained 127 more yards on the day, but it was the Crusaders that made the best use of them.

Southeast Raleigh lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tydreke Powell Jr., who threw for 284 yards and a pair of touchdowns. James Adams IV helped Powell Jr. out on the ground, rushing for 52 yards and one TD, while also picking up 39 receiving yards and one score.

Cardinal Gibbons had a senior duo take command as Noah Terry rushed for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Gannon Jones rushed for 89 yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Southeast Raleigh fell to 3-1. As for Cardinal Gibbons, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Southeast Raleigh will head out on the road to take on Garner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will welcome Mallard Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
