Carrollton came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Meadville Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. Considering the Trojans have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Carrollton pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Meadville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Carrollton has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Sweet Springs on the 13th. As for Meadville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-6 win against Slater on the 16th.
