Basketball Recap: Davidson Day Takes a Loss

Davidson Day has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 74-55 bruising from the Columbus Explorers on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' national basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th in North Carolina, while the Explorers are ranked third in Florida).

Davidson Day's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Columbus, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Davidson Day will face off against Concord Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Columbus, they will host Divine Savior Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
