Basketball Recap: Charleston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Strayhorn two weeks ago, Charleston came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 61-52 to the Water Valley Blue Devils on Tuesday. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 62-54 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Charleston saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Omari Price almost dropped a double-double with 32 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Price has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Quay Kimble, who posted eight points and six boards.

Charleston's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Water Valley, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Charleston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-60 victory against Holly Springs on the 4th. Water Valley has also already played their next contest (against West Tallahatchie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
