Baseball Recap: Hayward Find Success

After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Hayward brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They skirted past the San Lorenzo Grizzlies 12-10. The Farmers haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Liam Conley was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Jakye Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Hayward's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-16. As for San Lorenzo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Hayward will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grizzlies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
