After having lost a blowout in their previous game against LaBrae, Mineral Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Lowellville Rockets onto the board and left with an 8-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mineral Ridge also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
Savannah Turek made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Turek was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, a double, and an RBI.
