Baseball Recap: Troy-Buchanan Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Troy-Buchanan lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Howell North, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's match. The Trojans put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-1 victory on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Lance Stuckey tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Troy-Buchanan's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 7-13 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Max Terbrock was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Carson Twellman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Troy-Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Howell North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Troy-Buchanan and Howell North will both be playing Timberland the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the T-Wolves at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
