Basketball Recap: Frankfort Hot Dogs vs. Faith Christian Eagles
Frankfort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Faith Christian Eagles 60-23. The Hot Dogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Frankfort still got an impressive performance from Ella Mcatee, who posted 15 points and three steals. Mcatee is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Johanna Haste, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Haste has been hot, having posted 11 or more boards the last five times she's played. Allison Caplinger was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.
Frankfort's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Faith Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frankfort will square off against Tri-West Hendricks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Christian, they will face off against North Newton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
