Soccer Recap: Nacogdoches Plays to a Tie

On Friday, neither the Nacogdoches Dragons nor the Lufkin Panthers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Nacogdoches' goal came courtesy of Christian Padilla, who's now up to three this season.

With that draw, Nacogdoches' record moves to 5-2-2. Meanwhile, Lufkin's record is now 3-3-2.

Nacogdoches will face off against Whitehouse at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitehouse is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Lufkin, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lufkin take on the Tyler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lufkin's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
