The Apollo Ridge Vikings had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Leechburg on Friday. Apollo Ridge has struggled against Leechburg recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Leechburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rocco Vigna led the charge by scoring 14 points. Brady Rollinger was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Apollo Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Leechburg, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Apollo Ridge will square off against Homer-Center at TBD on Saturday. As for Leechburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nazareth Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
