Softball Recap: Milford Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Milford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Iroquois West Raiders 8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-4 last Monday.

Kami Muehling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addison Lucht, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Madisyn Laffoon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Milford's record now sits at 15-9. As for Iroquois West, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.

As of now, neither Milford nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
