Preview: Ansonia Chargers vs. Holy Cross Crusaders
Ansonia is 1-9 against Holy Cross since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Ansonia Chargers will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Holy Cross Crusaders at 12:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Thursday, Ansonia suffered a tough 75-50 loss at the hands of Seymour. Ansonia has not had much luck with Seymour recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Holy Cross pushed their score all the way to 67 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 92-67 walloping at the hands of Notre Dame. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (64), Holy Cross still had to take the loss.
Ansonia's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Holy Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
