Albany hadn't done well against Columbia recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Falcons came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won five games in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Columbia scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21.

Albany's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Columbia will stay at home for another game and welcome Schoharie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Albany will be paying especially close attention to the Blue Devils' match: after the Blue Devils face off against the Storm, they'll take on Albany again at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
