Softball Recap: Olympia Titans vs. Foundation Academy Lions

Olympia extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-14 in the process. They fell 10-5 to the Foundation Academy Lions. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elizabeth Aguilar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Hannah Vartti, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

That's the most runs Johnson has posted since back in February. Elizabeth Ozim was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.

Olympia and Foundation Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Olympia will square off against University at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (297 vs. 100). Meanwhile, Foundation Academy (ranked 102nd) will meet Lake Brantley (ranked 13th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
