Volleyball Recap: Rains Takes a Loss

Rains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lone Oak Buffaloes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 25-8, 25-22.

Rains' loss dropped their record down to 5-24. As for Lone Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rains will take on rival Commerce at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lone Oak is set to square off against their familiar foe Mount Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
