Basketball Game Preview: Poplar Springs Atomics vs. Vernon Yellowjackets

Poplar Springs is on a three-game streak of home losses, Vernon an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Poplar Springs Atomics will get right back to it and host the Vernon Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Poplar Springs will be strutting in after a win while Vernon will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Poplar Springs earned a 58-45 victory over Wewahitchka.

Meanwhile, Vernon ended up a good deal behind Ponce De Leon on Friday and lost 60-46.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Poplar Springs, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Poplar Springs strolled past Vernon in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 66-47. Will Poplar Springs repeat their success, or does Vernon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
