Nazareth Area got themselves on the board against Liberty on Wednesday, but Liberty never followed suit. They blew past the Hurricanes 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Blue Eagles, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Nazareth Area got a great performance from Zak Novak as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched.
At the plate, Matt Daems was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Glovas, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
Nazareth Area's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Liberty, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.
