Football Recap: Sky View Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Sky View won the last time they faced Tooele and Jack Clark did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bobcats took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 55-27 win over the Buffaloes thanks in part to Clark, who threw for 410 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. He has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Zachary Oxborrow, who picked up 158 receiving yards and a pair of scores. He also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Sky View is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

Tooele's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gus Pater, who rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only nine carries, and also threw for 183 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Pater got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 59 yards. Mavrik Chlarson was another key player, picking up 117 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Sky View pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Tooele, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Sky View will be playing in front of their home fans against Juan Diego Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Bobcats will be up against the Soaring Eagle's rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.78 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tooele, they will head out to take on Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th.
