 In what's become a running theme this season, Red Mountain gave their fans yet another huge  win on Wednesday. They never let the O'Connor Eagles onto the board and left with  a   6-0  victory. Red Mountain's pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a  run in their last five  contests.
  Kendall Cochran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just zero earned runs on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Payton Maguire and  Payton Westra did most of the damage at the plate:  Maguire  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Westra  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Sarah Misner, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Red Mountain has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 17 of their last 18 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record  this season. As for O'Connor, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Mountain will  square off against Mesa at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. Red Mountain's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8  runs per game  this season, so Mesa's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for O'Connor, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Pinnacle at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday.
