Baseball Recap: Cissna Park Comes Up Short

Cissna Park came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 22-0 to the Salt Fork Storm. The Timberwolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Storm from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Cissna Park has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Salt Fork, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cissna Park will head out to face off against Hoopeston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves are facing the Cornjerkers at the right time seeing as the Cornjerkers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Salt Fork, they will venture away from home to square off against Villa Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
