            It may have taken  ten innings to finish the job, but Alexander Central ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Watauga Pioneers  5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
 Dillion Church looked comfortable as he  struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.

 At the plate,  Gavin Bentley was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Those  two  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Maddix Reese was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
