Soccer Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln lost against Urbandale back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Railsplitters came up short against the J-Hawks, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Urbandale are ranked 28th).

Lincoln has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-1 record this season. As for Urbandale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Des Moines East on the 22nd. Urbandale has also already played their next matchup (against Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
