Preview: Indian River Indians vs. First State Military Academy Bulldogs
Indian River is 3-0 against First State Military Academy since November of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Indian River Indians will be playing at home against the First State Military Academy Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Even though Conrad Science scored an imposing 37 points on Friday, Indian River still came out on top. Indian River secured a 42-37 W over Conrad Science. 42 seems to be a good number for Indian River as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Indian River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayvion W chandler led the charge by rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Darnell Stokes, who rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, First State Military Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They had just enough and edged Early College out 2-0.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Indian River against First State Military Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 38-0 win.
