Basketball Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Westwood was the 43-38 winner over Booker T. Washington when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Westwood Longhorns were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 46-45 to the Booker T. Washington Warriors. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Booker T. Washington had a senior duo take command as Malia Johnson shot 56% from the field to rack up 14 points and three steals and Antaniya Britt almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Britt continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Booker T. Washington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Westwood nor Booker T. Washington have any future games scheduled.
